St. Georges, Grenada

St. Georges, Grenada

We arrived at the Grenada airport at approximately 10:30pm and took a very interesting taxi ride to the ship. The streets are very narrow with many curves, but that didn't slow down our driver (or the other drivers on the road) at all. I don't think I'll be driving a vehicle on Grenada, I prefer to remain in one piece for the entire vacation. After a short check-in and some snacks on the Mandalay, we were off to our cabin after a long day of flying. The following morning we took a guided hike to the Seven Sisters Waterfall in the Grenada rain forest. We were assured it would rain (it is called a rain forest for a reason), so I was afraid to take our digital camera and missed out on some nice photo opportunities. But we took a swim in the pool below the lower-most waterfall, while mullets swam all around us. You'll notice in many of the pictures on this tour, we had many more cloudy days and a little more rainy weather than we had during our previous cruises in the Caribbean. After the hike, we set sail for Carriacou around 2pm Sunday afternoon.
