This island is definitely one of my favorites in the Caribbean. The people are extremely friendly and I enjoyed seeing the small sailboats along the shores that are built by the locals for their racing competitions. We shopped a little at the book store and dress shops in Port Elizabeth, and then hiked to the fort overlooking Admiralty Bay. I tried to include some of the cacti of the island in the images taken from the fort. On our return walk back to Port Elizabeth, we stopped at the Sargeant's Model Boat Shop and I couldn't resist buying one of their boats. We were able to watch them do some of the woodworking in their shop. They even had a model of the Mandalay that was priced at $4000. After lunch, we hiked to the Atlantic side of the island at Friendship Bay. The hotel there was closed for the season, so it was deserted and quiet. We hiked back to Princess Margaret Beach to meet the tender for our ride back to the Mandalay. After dinner we went back to the island and spent some time at Frangipani's for some more steel band entertainment.
