Intarsia Projects
I have begun experimenting with photogrammetry software to capture some 3D scans of my woodworking pieces. The 3D objects below were all created with the single images shown above. They were created using Meshy with its "Image to 3D Model" capability. Some models display very close to the original, but others were created with a very exaggerated perspective. I've left them all exactly as they were created by Meshy since some of these 3D models are definitely amusing interpretations of the physical Intarsia. I am using Model Viewer to display the captured models. Click on any of the thumbnail images below and a new window will appear in which you can drag the model around with the left mouse button and zoom in or out with the mouse scroll wheel or with the pinch or spread to finger techniques on a tablet or phone.
