Miscellaneous Woodworking Projects
Below are some more experiments with displaying some of my woodworking as 3D models. The Dulcimer on the left was modelled with Lightwave3D, utilizing wood procedural texturing many years ago, and I recently renewed the texturing with pictures from the actual dulcimer. The Dulcimer on the right was captured with PolyCam so it looks fine from a distance, but details such as frets and strings are much better on the modelled dulcimer. The Jumping Dolphins were also created with PolyCam. The Flat Bottom Canoe and the Redwood Birdfeeder were also modelled many years ago, with just slight upgrades to the texturing. Click on a thumbnail image below and a new window will appear in which you can drag the model around with the left mouse button and zoom in or out with the mouse scroll wheel or with the pinch or spread two finger techniques on a tablet or phone.
